FABULOUS CARE AT FIFTH AVENUE BAPTIST

In 2014, Fifth Avenue Baptist Nursery & Preschool celebrated its 50th year of serving children in our region. FABCare, as it is lovingly called, is a nonprofit program under the supervision of the Church Council of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. FABCare is directly governed by the Child Care Committee of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church.

We are licensed by the State of West Virginia and meet all health and safety standards as required by the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources and State Licensing Board. We have received funds from the same in the form of block grants and LINK payments.

It is the policy of FABCare, in compliance with Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act, other anti-discrimination legislation, and the recent Americans with Disabilities Act, to admit children and acquire staff without regard to race, religion, age, sex, living situation, disability, and/or national origin. There is no distinction in eligibility for admission, employment, or the provision of services. All facilities, programs, and activities of FABCare are provided without discrimination. All persons, organizations, and agencies referring children to FABCare are advised to do so without regard to race, religion, sex, living situation, disability, and/or national origin.

our teachers

All of our staff members are loving and dedicated caregivers. Our full-time staff have, on average, 15-20 years of experience working with children. Many have degrees in early childhood development or education. Our pre-k teacher has her master's degree in Preschool Special Needs and our four-year-old classroom teacher has her master's degree in Elementary Education.

Each year, our facility requires all full-time staff to participate in 18 hours or more of continuing education. Our teachers openly and frequently provide written and verbal communication with parents. We strive to work as a team with our parents to provide the best care and guidance for each of our children.
